About Tania
I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor (ND) and graduate from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Prior to CCNM, I completed my undergraduate studies in Political Science and Journalism. I subsequently worked as a writer, editor and youth facilitator.
I came into Naturopathic Medicine after a friend recommended I see an ND for a health issue at the time. I appreciated that the doctor took the time to get a full picture of what was happening with my health and then involved me in my care. Over the years I have developed a special interest in hormonal health, mental health and autoimmune conditions. I have successfully worked with people with a variety of conditions, including chronic eczema, hypothyroidism, hormonal imbalances, migraines, insomnia, anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic pain and menopausal concerns.
Combining up-to-date clinical research with traditional and natural therapies, naturopathic medicine focuses on supporting the body’s innate capacity to heal. You can see a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) for support with any condition – acute or chronic. It is important to make connections between bodily, mental and spiritual health and the larger socio-economic and cultural context. Recognizing that past and present experiences shape a person's needs, I strive to provide a non-judgmental space.
