Shannon, originally from Fredericton NB, started her post-secondary education at UNB, where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree. While at UNB, Shannon was actively involved in helping and educating others, through her peer mentorship work in the Faculty of Kinesiology, her volunteering at a local physiotherapy clinic. Shannon is thrilled to be partnering with Colton and opening JD Physiotherapy, PC. Shannon’s previous experiences led her to discover her desire to pursue a career in physiotherapy, as it encompassed her passions of helping and empowering others, combined with using exercise as medicine. This led Shannon to continue her education and obtain her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University in Halifax. Since then, she has taken several post-graduate orthopedic related courses and is trained in Functional Dry Needling. Shannon strongly believes in taking the time to listen and collaborate with her clients to develop meaningful care plans. Shannon is committed to providing exceptional client-centered care and values an active approach combined with educating clients to assist them in achieving their goals. Outside of work hours, Shannon enjoys spending quality time with husband, friends and family, travelling, and staying active through running the trails of Fredericton, working out, and hiking around New Brunswick.
