Sarena Armsworthy, practicing as an Acupuncturist since 2013, is a registered member of the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAA). Her passion for health and medicine led her to pursue four years of studies in health sciences prior to immersing herself in Acupuncture.
Throughout her educational journey, Sarena acquired extensive experience in audiology, diet and health management, family medicine, otolaryngology, and physical therapy. These encounters deeply influenced her perspective, fostering a profound appreciation for both Western and Oriental medicine. Sarena firmly advocates for the integration of these two approaches in disease prevention, healing, and health maintenance.
In 2020, following an extensive search, Sarena discovered her Reiki mentor. Embarking on her Reiki journey, she completed the Shoden and Chuden level training in Usui Shiki Reiki Ryoho and Komyo ReikiDo. Sarena characterizes her sessions as meditative, prioritizing patient relaxation. She aspires to advance her training to the Shinpiden level in the coming years.
Sarena's treatment approach is characterized by comprehensive, individualized care across various conditions. Drawing from her extensive studies in both Western Medical Sciences and Traditional Chinese Medicine, she integrates diverse perspectives to empower her patients to embrace their optimal health and well-being.
Outside of her clinical work, Sarena enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, creating memories and enjoying family life. She has over 10 years of martial arts experience, primarily in the Bujinkan Taijutsu arts, and has also trained in Karate and Iaido.
This appointment includes assessment, acupuncture and may include time for manual therapy if time permits (such as Gua sha, Cupping, Moxibustion, or Tuina).
