Hi, I’m Nisrine Iguermia, a Registered Acupuncturist dedicated to helping you find relief—not just from symptoms, but from the root cause of what’s holding you back. My approach to healing is deeply personal. Over a decade ago, I faced one of the greatest challenges of my life: a Stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis. During my treatment, acupuncture became my anchor. It helped me manage the side effects of chemotherapy and surgery, but more importantly, it reminded me that my body had the power to heal itself. That experience changed everything. It’s why I left my previous career and committed my life to this medicine. Today, with over four years of clinical experience across Oakville and the GTA, I specialize in helping patients with chronic pain, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, and stress. Whether you’re an athlete recovering from a sports injury or someone navigating a complex internal condition, I take the time to understand your story. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all protocols. Instead, I design every treatment to restore your body’s natural balance—creating a ripple effect of wellness that goes far beyond the treatment table. I’ve trained in CANADA and internationally in Vietnam and China, learning diverse techniques that allow me to tailor each session to your unique needs. But what truly drives me is the moment you realize you’re feeling like yourself again. The style of acupuncture I practice is a rare and precious gem. Its roots in classical Chinese medicine, the essence of this diagnostic and treatment method was preserved and developed in Vietnam. It offers a deep and holistic path to healing. At the heart of this practice is the law of the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water) . These elements represent the fundamental phases of energy that flow through all of nature and our own bodies. When these energies are in harmony, we experience good health. When they become imbalanced, we may experience pain, illness, or emotional distress . Unlike approaches that may focus primarily on surface-level symptoms, this method uses a comprehensive Functional Evaluation (FE) to uncover the root cause of your imbalance. This evaluation integrates: The Six Roots (or Six Element Law) Five Element constitutional typing The Eight Principles (Yin/Yang, Interior/Exterior, Cold/Hot, Deficiency/Excess) Classical assessment tools like pulse and tongue diagnosis, along with blood pressure and heart rate . Once the Functional Evaluation provides a clear picture of your underlying imbalance, the treatment itself becomes beautifully simple and precise. We are not just treating a disease name; we are rebalancing you. With this system, we can treat the "Oriental Tree"—a metaphor for the whole person, not just the branches and leaves (the symptoms). By using specific acupuncture points to regulate the flow of energy and restore harmony between the Five Elements and the Yin-Yang , we aim to bring your entire system back into a state of equilibrium.
