Ms. Baird offers evidence-based approaches tailored to individual needs and goals. Her areas of focus include supporting people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, and disordered eating. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), CBT for non-underweight individuals (CBT-T), and CBT for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (CBT-AR). She also incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Depression (MBCT) and Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP). She holds a Master’s of Social Work from Dalhousie University and has spent the past 20+ years working in community mental health and addictions with Nova Scotia Health.
