About Maria

Maria Howard, CAT(C), graduated with honours from Sheridan College’s Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy program. As a native to the Ottawa Valley, Maria grew up on a dairy farm near Eganville. Her background as an athlete and desire to help others inspired her to pursue a career in Athletic Therapy. Maria has gained diverse experience in both clinical and field settings, working with athletes and the general population to manage various injuries, including pre- and postoperative care. While she has worked with numerous sports, she has most experience working closely with basketball, softball, football, and soccer, supporting athletes from minor youth sports to the varsity level. She has also worked closely with para-athletes where she has found a keen interest in supporting individuals with special needs. Her treatment approach combines manual therapy techniques, exercise-based programming, and therapeutic modalities such as taping, blending clinical expertise with practical field application. In her free time, Maria enjoys playing hockey, volleyball, and softball, staying active at the gym, and spending time outdoors, whether on the farm or at the lake. Whether you're recovering from an injury or aiming to enhance your performance, Maria is dedicated to providing personalized, effective care to help you reach your goals. Book in with her today!
