About Kaylie

Kaylie is a proud Sooke local who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Victoria and a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of British Columbia. With a strong foundation in psychology, Kaylie brings a holistic and compassionate approach to her work as an Occupational Therapist. She is dedicated to supporting children and their families through a strengths-based lens, prioritizing mental health and neurodiversity-affirming care. Kaylie believes in meeting each individual where they are, empowering them to thrive, and celebrating their unique strengths. Kaylie’s passion for working with neurodivergent children and youth began during her summers as a community support worker at a local camp. Since then, she has gained diverse experience as an Education Assistant in the Sooke School District, a behaviour interventionist for home-schooled children, and a respite worker. This varied background gives her valuable insight into the different environments children and youth experience every day—from home to school to recreation. Outside of work, you’ll find Kaylie playing soccer, painting, hiking, camping, searching for thrifted treasures, or relaxing with a good book and a cup of coffee.
