About Katie

Following graduation in 2010, she completed her first post-graduate pelvic health course in 2011 and has been treating pelvic floor patients ever since. She is happy to work with a variety of patients – women, men, transgendered and non-binary people, of all ages. She is experienced in treating urinary/bowel incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, constipation (including children), genital pain, chronic pelvic pain, bed-wetting, abdominal hernias, abdominal separation (diastasis recti), abdominal scar pain, birth preparation, postpartum recovery, and tailbone injuries. Katie opened her own practise in 2017, and is now happy to be expanding to her co-owned multidisciplinary clinic at Reconnect Health Centre. You might see Katie out in the community promoting pelvic health at a variety of events. Katie is often a guest lecturer for the School of Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University, with a focused knowledge on pregnancy, pelvic health and exercise with regards to weight loss. She is an active contributing author to the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Women’s Health Division Newsletter. Katie has formed a relationship with Mount Allison University’s Sexual Health Laboratory to research chronic pelvic and genital pain conditions. When she is not busy with her work, she can be found with her two little boys and husband enjoying nature, gardening, baking, reading…and probably folding lots of laundry! Katie received both her BSc and MSc in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University, is a member of the New Brunswick College of Physiotherapists, the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Women’s Health Division, the Canadian Sex Researcher Forum and the Canadian Obesity Network. Her latest goal is to help expand the knowledge of her peers. For more information see: www.katiekellypt.ca

I met Katie for the first time yesterday and she is amazing!! So easy to talk to ( I was really nervous before going), made me feel so comfortable, explained everything about strengthening my pelvic floor. I would recommend them a million times 😁

Katie is extremely professional, sensitive, and knowledgeable. Pelvic floor and core physiotherapy is a very unique field in Canada, and both men and women throughout Altantic Canada are very fortunate to have access to such services. She is quite amazing and reassuring, and I would not hesitate to recommend Katie.
