Kate Read is a practitioner of the complementary healing modalities¬—Reconnective Healing® and Access Bars®.
Reconnective Healing® is an emerging, non-invasive, no-touch healing modality that supports natural balance across physical and psychological levels. Kate is a Certified Reconnective Healing® Practitioner. She also completed advanced certifications in 2025 from Reconnective Academie International.
Kate is also a Certified Access Bars® Practitioner. Access Bars is a gentle, hands-on modality involving light touch on 32 points on the head. She was drawn to this work by the research of Dr. Jeffrey Fannin and Dr. Terrie Hope which shows significant beneficial effects on brainwave activity and other physiological markers.
Kate’s education includes a Diploma in Wellness Counselling and Life Coaching from Rhodes Wellness College, Certification as a Career Development Practitioner through WCCDA, and a Bachelor of Arts from UBC. Having coached clients through transition, she understands the benefits of modalities that bring the body into a more relaxed, balanced state.
Originally from the North Vancouver, Kate relocated to Campbell River in 2024. She enjoys an active lifestyle including hiking, walking, artistic pursuits and singing.
