Hi, I'm Karina Sherman, a Nurse Practitioner with nearly 16 years of experience helping people improve their health and well-being.
Throughout my career, I realized that many patients needed more than a brief medical appointment. They needed someone who would take the time to listen, understand their story, and explore the underlying factors contributing to their symptoms. That passion led me to functional medicine and a more personalized approach to care.
I combine evidence-based medicine with a functional, root-cause perspective to help patients optimize their health. I have a special interest in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), women's & men's health, mental health, metabolic health, gut health, cardiovascular health and stroke prevention, autoimmune conditions, and preventive care.
I firmly believe that the human body has an incredible ability to heal when provided with the right tools. My goal is to partner with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that supports your body's natural healing processes while helping you achieve lasting health.
Patients often tell me they appreciate having a provider who truly listens, explains the "why" behind their symptoms, and works collaboratively to create realistic, sustainable solutions.
Outside the clinic, you'll often find me spending time with my family, reading a good book, exploring nature, rollerblading, or finding new ways to stay active. I'm also a lifelong learner who is continually studying the latest research in functional and integrative medicine so I can provide thoughtful, evidence-informed care.
