About Jeff

Some may know me and some may not. My name is Jeff Charron and I grew up in Wallaceburg where I loved school and loved to play sports. Soccer, volleyball, basketball and tennis were my top choices. I moved to Sarnia in 1997 where I met my wife and have 2 wonderful children. I played competitive soccer for many years and still enjoy the sport through reffing. My family and I love to travel the world and experience new cultures and history. Growing up in Wallaceburg, I got to see the healthcare system through my grandfather (Dr. Lauber). Combined with my natural affinity to sports, it made the physiotherapy profession a natural career choice. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario in 1996, I quickly found work in the hospital setting. I started my career in Palmerston and Wingham, quickly returning to Sarnia in 1997. This time allowed me to refine my skills in the early years, start my post graduate education and figure out that my true interest was in the field of orthopedics. I left the hospital in late 2000 with the hopes of being successful and started my own physiotherapy clinic. 25 years in business has been more than a blessing to me, it has been an honour and I hope a sign of success. Over my career I have had the privilege of learning from some great educators, therapists and mentors. I expanded my skills in the early years with the many manual therapy courses offered through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and private practitioners. This naturally lead me to discover myofascial release and acupuncture. I spent the next several years taking as many courses as I could through John Barnes and the MFR association. Through this experience I was exposed to craniosacral therapy, the next chapter in my journey. The Upledger Institute was a great source once again expanding my skills, with me eventually getting my CST certification after years of courses and eventual examination. I am grateful to all the instructors. Now 29 years into my career, I am grateful to join the team at Alta Health and Performance. Thanks for reading and see you at the office, Jeff.
