Hi everyone, I’m Janie! I grew up in a small town just north of Edmonton, and have always had a love for sports and movement. As a kid, I spent most of my time in ballet classes, or playing volleyball and basketball. An overuse injury from dance first introduced me to physical therapy, and this experience was so impactful that it inspired my career.
I am passionate about helping and uplifting others, and physical therapy allows me to do exactly that. I completed my Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2023 and my Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in December 2025, both from the University of Alberta.
As a physical therapist, I enjoy getting to know my clients and working collaboratively to support their goals. My practice is grounded in patient-centred care, with a strong emphasis on education, empowerment, self-management strategies, and exercise. I aim to equip every person I work with the tools and knowledge they need to feel confident in their recovery.
Outside of the clinic, you can usually find me at the gym, exploring new yoga classes, cheering on the Edmonton Oilers (win or lose), or at the bookstore finding my next read.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey toward feeling and moving your best!
