I describe myself as a transformational therapist, not because it is trendy but, because my approach is centred on transformation. My training was founded in experiential therapy, which effectively treats trauma, depression, anxiety, abuse, neglect, addictions, etc.
Each of us has an innate drive to find healing, to be better than "fine". We have all experienced trauma in one form or another and have parts of ourselves that we have cut off, disowned, or devalued. In therapy, we work together to construct a new experience, allowing you to reclaim who you truly are.
We can't go back and change what happened to us, but we can transform how we feel about it.
True healing is when you look at your past with mercy instead of loathing.
