About Gillian

With over 20 years of experience in and around the school system, Gillian brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to her counselling practice. As a former teacher in both traditional and alternative classrooms, she has worked extensively with neurodiverse learners and children impacted by complex trauma, including those navigating the challenges of growing up in families affected by addictions. This time as an educator has given her a front-row view of how early stress and unmet needs quietly shift people off course, and how those disruptions don’t disappear with time. They resurface as anxiety, relationship struggles, burnout, or that feeling of being disconnected from yourself. Her work is shaped by this long view of human development and a deep understanding of how early experiences influence who you are today.
