About Gertrude

Gertrude is a Registered Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting youth, adults, and families through a wide range of mental health and life challenges. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work and is a member of the Manitoba College of Social Workers. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based, helping clients develop practical tools for healing, growth, and emotional wellbeing. Gertrude believes that everyone can feel stuck at times, and with the right support, meaningful change is possible. She works alongside clients to create a safe and supportive space where they can explore challenges, gain new perspectives, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. She works with youth (13+) and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, stress, anger management, relationship and parenting challenges, workplace concerns, and major life transitions. Her therapeutic approach incorporates evidence-based modalities including EMDR, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
