François Morin, Physiotherapist
B. Sc., McGill University, 2007
Passionate about sports from a young age, François Morin completed a first year of university in Kinesiology before graduating from the physiotherapy program at McGill University. His personal experiences, as a player and coach of hockey and baseball, are useful to him on a daily basis in the support of his sports clientele, in particular in the physical and psychological preparation for an optimal return to play.
Certified Sports First Responder, he was notably a physiotherapist in the Quebec Midget AAA hockey league, and participated in several events as a provider of first aid and sports treatments during running and obstacle course competitions. He has also been Kinatex Sports Physio representative at several XMAN Race races and has been watching over the health of Défi Sportif Altergo participants for several years.
François Morin stands out for his listening skills and his ability to offer practical solutions that will be meaningful for the athlete or the client in his training plan or his daily life. He is recognized as an expert in the treatment and prevention of running injuries at the Clinique du Coureur, which allows him to assess and support a competitive and amateur clientele of all levels. His personal experience in athletics and road racing is also an asset when it comes to giving appropriate advice.
In addition to his diverse clinical experience, his interests in his physiotherapy practice have enabled him to follow a variety of post-graduate training courses involving advanced training in manual therapy, in the use of needles under the dermis in physiotherapy, myofascial approaches, management of cases of mild traumatic brain injury (concussions), various taping, treatment techniques of the cervico-shoulder complex and case management of the lower limbs.
Building on Kinatex Sports Physio's partnership with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal, he is completing his 7th year as a consultant with the prestigious company’s medical team. Understanding movement and achieving the highest levels of precision makes him a teacher able to guide you through your personal challenges.
He has been a partner and clinical director at Kinatex Sports Physio Complexe Desjardins since its creation in 2014 and will ensure the development of our services within our new, freshly renovated premises in order to maintain state-of-the-art rehabilitation suitable for all types of clients.
