In 2008, Dr. Abbott completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology from Memorial University of Newfoundland and went on to graduate from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2013. He has proudly been a member of Active Health since 2015 and brings over 12 years of clinical experience to the Team. This past summer he was named to the 2025 Canada Games Medical Staff of which he states "was an incredible experience both personally and clinically".
Dr. Abbott uses many different techniques including soft tissue, myofascial release, spinal mobilization, manipulation, rehabilitation as well as lifestyle and patient education. He also holds additional certification in Graston Technique, Lumbar Spinal Stenosis, and Concussion.
Dr. Abbott has extensive experience working with chronic pain, motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries, and over the years has taken special interest in shoulder injuries. He enjoys caring for patients of all ages, and aims to decrease pain and promote wellness for a better quality of life through multi-disciplinary management.
