About Emily

Dr. Powell grew up in Portugal Cove, Newfoundland and completed her Bachelor’s of Human Kinetics and Recreation (Co-op) from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2021. She then moved on to complete the podiatry program at The Michener Institute of Education at UHN in Toronto (2024). During her time in Podiatry school, Dr. Powell found a passion for advanced wound care while completing an internship at the Ottawa General Hospital wound care centre. Additionally, her time spent in private practices and experiences with sports injuries gave her a particular interest in the biomechanics of the lower limb. She is a member of the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine (CFPM) and Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Podiatric Medicine (NLFPM). Dr. Powell is excited to continue her career in her home province and to promote foot health in her community!
