About Alyssia

Dr. Alyssia Strandlund grew up in Athabasca. From an early age, she was involved with the Athabasca Dance Society, Athabasca Figure Skating Club, and Girl Guides and continued with them throughout school. After graduating from EPC in 2010, she began her post-secondary education at the University of Alberta - first earning a Bachelor of Science followed by a Bachelor of Arts. In 2016, she moved to Marietta, Georgia to attend Life University to obtain her Doctor of Chiropractic. During school, she was heavily involved with clubs on campus, including being the President of the League of Chiropractic Women - Life University Chapter, and the secretary for the Pierce Results Club. She took many weekend seminars to further her education in pediatrics and maternal care through the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association), as well in many different techniques including the Pierce Results System and NUCCA. After completing her preceptorship at Long Lake Chiropractic in Nanaimo, she graduated from chiropractic college in March 2020. Dr. Alyssia then moved back to Athabasca to start her very own practice.
