About Alyssa
Dr. Alyssa Louras, ND, is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with a clinical focus in women’s
health, hormonal imbalances, metabolic conditions, and nutrition-based care. She has a special
interest in PCOS, insulin resistance, PMS and period support, cholesterol and diabetes, and
weight management. She’s passionate about helping you feel not just okay, but truly your most
optimal self.
Dr. Alyssa earned her bachelor’s degree in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of
Guelph, where she developed a strong belief that nutrition is foundational to healing and should
be the basis of every treatment plan. Dr. Alyssa later obtained her Doctor of Naturopathy degree,
at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), completing a year-long clinical
internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic.
Dr. Alyssa’s approach combines evidence-based naturopathic care with identifying the root
cause, taking the time to understand your individual story and support your body holistically. She
incorporates clinical nutrition, laboratory testing, supplementation, and lifestyle counselling, to
guide her patients to long-lasting wellness. Dr. Alyssa is a member with the Canadian College of
Naturopathic medicine (CONO), and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors
(CAND).
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Alyssa enjoys staying active outdoors, and experimenting
with new recipes in the kitchen. She has a passion for travel and is always eager for a new
adventure.
