About Dipika
Dipika is a Pediatric Physiotherapist with advanced training in Neuro-pediatrics and a PhD in Pediatric Physiotherapy, completed in 2018. Prior to relocating to Canada, she was an Assistant Professor and head of the Department of Pediatric Physiotherapy at Charusat University in India.
Her professional experience spans clinical care, teaching, research, and mentorship. She has presented her work at international forums and has supported children with developmental delays across school, outpatient, and community environments. Alongside her clinical work, she has helped mentor physiotherapists in refining their treatment planning and approach.
Dipika’s practice is grounded in thoughtful, individualized care. She draws from a broad clinical toolkit that includes Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), Sensory Integration, and Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR) to create treatment plans that reflect each child’s unique needs and goals. Her experience also includes working with Indian Paralympic athletes, supporting children involved in national-level sports, and contributing therapeutic outreach services to orphanages.
Since joining the Canadian Centre for Development, Dipika has continued to expand her clinical expertise. She has completed Level C certification in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), as well as training in TheraTogs, specialized techniques for Cystic Fibrosis, Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES), Airway Clearance Therapy, and Posture and Alignment.
Outside her professional role, Dipika enjoys sketching, reading, hiking, and camping with her family.
