Dave Nelson is a functional medicine practitioner and has been in the holistic health industry for over 17 years. Some of his previous roles were: a part-time professor at Fanshawe college where he taught the fitness and lifestyle management curriculum as part of the police foundations program, a PRO Trainer for canfitpro from 2004-2014, a life coach and health mentor, and a medical rehabilitation specialist. Dave is passionate about all things health related and is always on the cutting edge of the most current research. His current research projects include redox biology and antioxidant status, curcumin as an adjuvant in cancer care, and interprofessional collaboration metrics between complementary and conventional physicians. He has also been the featured weekly health and fitness columnist in the Oxford Review for over 13 years. Dave recently took a sabbatical from his studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine to write his first book on inflammation.
