About Brenda
Brenda Zimmeman is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology who is dedicated to helping people empower themselves and create meaningful change within a safe environment.
Brenda uses a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and the Internal Family Systems model of psychotherapy to support clients through their presenting concerns, learn to regulate emotions, develop helpful thinking patterns, change behavior and improve communication. Brenda works with adults and youth experiencing depression, anxiety, developmental trauma, addiction and loss. Brenda also has an extensive background working with children and families dealing with various emotional and behavioral difficulties, and offers counselling for children along with parental support.
