Andrea is a Registered Psychologist who completed her Master of Science in Educational Psychology with a specialization in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary. Her graduate research and clinical training focused on Intervention and Assessment for adolescents and young-adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
For the past 10 years, Andrea has worked in the social services sector where she gained invaluable experience working as an Educational Assistant, Caseworker in Domestic Violence and Crisis Counsellor. These experiences helped to foster strong values of compassion, authenticity and advocacy, which are at the core of her current practice. In addition to private practice, Andrea currently works in schools providing Assessment, Intervention and Counselling.
Andrea applies her experience conducting psychological assessments for Learning, Social-Emotional/Mental Health, Giftedness, and Intellectual Disabilities. She brings specialized training and clinical experience in conducting assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is particularly passionate about working with teens and adults querying a diagnosis of Autism, allowing Andrea to provide diagnostic clarity and identify avenues for support. She also provides individual and group counselling operating from a developmentally appropriate, client-centered, and strength-based approach.
Andrea lives in Calgary and enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, taking dance classes and finding the best local swim spots for her Water Dog.
