About Afshin
Hello! My name is Afshin, and I am a registered Psychotherapist. First of all, thank you for visiting my booking site and wanting to book a therapy session.
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming at times, so here is some information about me. I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University and have been practising since 2021. I have completed my Bachelor of Science at Royal Holloway, University of London, with Honours in the field of Psychology. Furthermore, I have completed my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the same institute with a specialization in Brain and Behaviour.
In the past, I have worked with a diverse population, primarily adults struggling with anxiety, depression, stress and self-esteem concerns. I employ various modalities including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT) and mindfulness interventions in an effort to collaborate with clients to help them navigate their unique challenges. Given the uniqueness of individuals, I tailor my approach to best meet your needs and ensure that I provide a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment.
I speak English, Dari (Farsi) and German and have an intermediate understanding of Urdu.
