In practice, Nathan values using a person-centered, trauma informed approach to therapy with emphasis on fostering a sound therapeutic relationship with adolescents (10+) and adults. He also believes in creating a safe and non-judgmental environment in collaboration with the client to navigate through their journey to healing. Using a multi-faceted approach to counselling, Nathan draws upon theories such as solution-focused, mindfulness techniques, dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and attachment-based approaches.
