Through this diverse education, Matt acquired a strong understanding of both the mechanism and physiological response to injury and rehabilitation. He has worked with active patients ranging from weekend warriors to professional and national level athletes, highlighted by his work with the BC Lions, Vancouver Whitecaps, Maple Ridge Burrards, Team Canada Ballhockey, the 2010 Vancouver Paralympics and the Cayman Islands National Team. Matt was also a respected member of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy faculty for 4 years where, while teaching courses in anatomy, kinesiology, assessment, pathology, orthopedics and neurology, he helped aspiring massage therapy students to improve their practical massage skills as well as develop their assessment and clinical reasoning. Through this experience, he believes active rehabilitation, including exercise, and stretching along with manual and massage techniques are crucial pieces to a successful and complete recovery.
