Prior to her chiropractic education she received her Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biomedical Sciences from York University. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she played for the Women’s Varsity soccer team. With an interest in sports, she has held a provincial level coaching license for soccer, as well as provided sideline medical coverage for soccer, rugby, football and Junior A hockey. Dr. Kontos believes that all treatment plans should be evidence-based and individually crafts rehab programs specifically for each patient. Her treatment plans include a combination of manual chiropractic adjustments and mobilizations, myofascial release and other soft tissue techniques, functional integrated acupuncture, active rehabilitation, movement assessment and patient-education. She enjoys treating every patient’s concern, from weekend warriors to office workers to active families.
