At the 1997 Jeux de la Francophonie, he won silver medals in both the 100m and 200m. He still holds Gabon's national records in the 100m (10.13) and 200m (20.49), and in Masters competition he ranked among the fastest in the world! He continues to coach and be an active presence in the Edmonton track community.
