Ali found acupuncture after a severe injury in her early 20s left her pelvis out of alignment and she was hardly able to walk. She was skeptical when her acupuncturist started to poke her elbows rather than her hips directly but was amazed when she felt less pain almost instantly. Her curiosity sprouted from there and she became fascinated by the intricacies of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. Ali loves to now be on the other side of the treatment and help people to feel more connected to their bodies. Outside of the treatment room, Ali teaches yoga at different studios throughout the city and loves the power of moving while surrounded by community. Inspired to create a safe space to connect during the pandemic, she started her own business in 2021 leading different yoga classes and workshops for an inclusive and community-focused practice.
