As they had immediate availability, I went to Coast Therapy's new office on Glen Drive (as they only opened in January). I started with Farnaz Jahromi as my physiotherapist and she's been very thorough and attentive with exercises/stretches to help me to ease up the stiffness/soreness but also ideas for long term goals to help with mobility I also tried the massage with Jason Lok, and he's been amazing. Definitely some new levels of knots & stiffness in my back I didn't realize could be there, and been feeling much more looser through the massage therapy. That combined with the physiotherapy has started my road to full recovery Their facility does have some practitioners that work multiple locations (Jason for example works at their North Road location too). I was very wrong about this! After hitting a plateau with physiotherapy, (and Chenghao Cui, MPT is a very good Physio and IMS!), it was suggested I visit a chiropractor. Dr. Bojilov listened very carefully to what I was experiencing, and suggested exercises and stretches that targeted my pain instead of relieving it by treatments. Eventually I did have a few treatments, but by far, most of what we do are exercises, and stretches, to get to a certain level, then build upon that for the next level. Dr. Bojilov has an amazing portfolio of exercises and stretches that are very focused and very specific and therefor very effective! Due to the stenosis of my L3 L4 L5 and S1, it was looking like I might need surgery or at least injections to relieve the nerve pain, however working hard with Dr. Bojilov I am very happy to start jogging again, and getting back to the recreational sports I miss so much!
