Despite researching and searching areas within Scarborough and Markham area, Acutoronto continued to pop up so I took a leap of faith and decided to try acupuncture with Ellise who worked on Saturdays that was good for my scheduling. My first session with Ellise: We talked about myself and the goals that we wanted to work on especially when a part of me was quietly grieving over our first miscarriage and my father's death. Ellise went straight into details of what we were going to focus on with TCM (Tradition Chinese Medicine)by opening the blood flow within certain areas of the body. Within that first session, I felt completely safe and nurtured during the first treatment. The atmosphere around Ellise felt so calm and relaxed. When the session was over, I fel5 my body decompressing with anxiety and my body some how felt that it was in ease. Upon checking my cycle monitoring I was told that my uterus lining began to thicken. For me I was over the moon to hear the great news. From that information I knew I wanted to continue with my sessions with Ellise. Another I tried with Acutoronto with Jennifer Hua (Mercier Therapy - Abdominal Massage) and let me tell you. My insides never felt any better along with the emotional side of it. After my first experience with Jennifer I can not express how much our bodies need to be loved fully. We are often faced with hardships (physically and mentally) and Jen opened my eyes and reminded me that my body is important too.
