“I saw Dr. Berdusco about six months ago for a shoulder labrum and rotator cuff repair. From the very first assessment, she clearly explained all treatment options, her recommendations, and what I could realistically expect from surgery and recovery. She genuinely cares about her patients and carries herself with professionalism and skill. I also worked with Emma Aucoin for my post‑operative physiotherapy, and she was fantastic—knowledgeable, kind, and thorough. She provided all the guidance I needed to recover properly. My shoulder feels great now, and I’m truly grateful for the care I received from Dr. Berdusco and her team, along with Emma. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.” Read more Show less

“I am writing to provide feedback regarding my consultation with Dr. Carter on July 20/26. I have lived with severe chronic right-sided pain and chronic migraines for approximately 10 years. Over that time, I have undergone extensive investigations and treatments. Unfortunately, I left the appointment feeling more discouraged and dismissed than I have at any point during my medical journey. The physical examination was brief and, in my opinion, did not include a detailed assessment of the specific anatomical areas that have been the focus of my symptoms. When I attempted to explain the progression of my pain and point out the exact locations involved, I did not feel those concerns were explored in detail. At the conclusion of the appointment, Dr. Carter advised me that there was nothing structurally wrong with my neck or ribs and attributed my symptoms to muscle pain and chronic pain sensitization. While I understand that central sensitization is a recognized aspect of chronic pain and appreciate that physicians may have differing clinical opinions, I found it very difficult to reconcile this explanation with my decade-long history of severe functional impairment and extensive treatment. I was particularly discouraged when I was advised that I should focus on maintaining a positive outlook, consider psychological support or antidepressants, and take up activities such as swimming or aerobics. These recommendations may be appropriate for some patients as part of a comprehensive pain management plan; however, they were presented without meaningful acknowledgment of the extensive rehabilitation, exercise programs, therapies, medications, and interventions I have already pursued over the past 10 years. When I asked whether, if Dr. Carter felt he could help me, I was told there was essentially nothing for him to do. As a patient who has spent years actively pursuing treatment, hearing that was devastating. I fully respect that physicians may reach different diagnostic conclusions. My concern is not simply that Dr. Carter’s opinion differed from that of other physicians involved in my care. Rather, it is that I left feeling my history, my efforts, and the impact this condition has had on my life were not fully heard or acknowledged. I am providing this feedback because I hope future patients with complex chronic pain conditions will leave feeling listened to and respected, even when difficult conversations or differing medical opinions are involved.” Read more Show less

“Dr. Lo along with Colleen (physiotherapy) and all the team at Access Orthopaedics are absolutely incredible. I suffered a severe rotator cuff injury in the form of a complete tear of the supraspinatus tendon. Dr. Lo expertly performed a surgical repair and my shoulder is now perfect. I have full range of motion, no pain, and am back to full function and all of my pre-injury activities all thanks to Dr. Lo and his team. I can see why he is an internationally renowned surgeon. He is also extremely kind, caring, and personable. Colleen was equally skilled and caring throughout the recovery and physiotherapy process. Thank you Dr. Lo, Colleen, and the entire team at Access Orthopaedics!” Read more Show less

“I have had an excellent experience with Access Orthopaedics. It is clear that they genuinely care about their patients and take pride in providing high-quality service. I cannot recommend Rachelle highly enough. From my very first appointment, she demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care for her patients. Rachelle takes the time to listen, thoroughly assess the situation, and clearly explain the treatment plan. Her attention to detail, expertise, and ability to tailor treatment to individual needs gave me a great deal of confidence throughout my journey. I would also like to recognize Zoya for her exceptional massage therapy treatments. She is highly skilled, professional, and attentive to her clients' needs. Her treatments have been an important part of my treatment, and she consistently provides excellent care while making every session comfortable and effective. I highly recommend Access Orthopaedics to anyone seeking high-quality care. Rachelle and Zoya are both outstanding professionals, and I am very grateful for their support and dedication.” Read more Show less

“I went here initially last year to deal with a rotator cuff tear and was able to get referred to Dr. Ian Lo. He did an initial assessment and mentioned both surgical and non-surgical options. He did a great job outlining things, and it was pretty clear which route I should go in my mind, so I decided to set up the surgery, and they had a physiotherapist, Rachelle Kichton, meet with me as well to further assess the injury. I could tell that she immediately had a genuine interest in helping me with this injury and gave me a list of all the suggested physio clinics that specialize in shoulders. I decided that she seemed to be the best option for me, and we did a few appointments before the surgery to help me build my strength up. The surgery itself went well, and Dr. Lo performed as well as I could have hoped for. I then had 5 follow-up sessions with Rachelle, where she did a great job working with me each step of the way, assessing where I was at and getting me exercises that were right for each stage while also taking the time to show me how to do them properly. It's now 5 months post-op, and I think I am well on the way to a great recovery thanks to Dr. Lo and Rachelle along with all the other staff who helped along the way.” Read more Show less

“Rachelle K, Dr. Kutcher and the entire team at Access Orthopaedics have been amazing! My partner and I have both had great experiences thus far. They have gone out of their way to make sure that our issues are addressed, cared for and have been happy to make time for us with busy schedules. I was very stressed at this time last year because of unusual tingling and numbness and their team made sure that my mind was put at ease and they were sure to review everything before giving me a proper diagnosis. We would highly recommend this clinic!” Read more Show less

“I had an amazing experience at Access Orthopaedics after tearing my ACL and meniscus while skiing in January. I was referred by urgent care and expected long wait times for imaging and surgery, but the care I received was incredibly fast and compassionate. Dr. Duce was kind, understanding, and clearly very dedicated to his patients. He initially arranged an MRI within three weeks, but during a follow up he felt that wasn’t soon enough and made calls to move it up to that same week. He even called me himself later that day to confirm the new appointment. I had my results within days and he arranged for me to see a surgeon immediately after my appointment. I’m incredibly grateful for how much he advocated for my care. Thank you as well to Dr. Lemmex for fitting me into your busy schedule for a same day surgical consult. He was patient, thorough, and answered all my questions. My surgery was scheduled quickly and actually moved up even sooner after a follow up visit. On surgery day he made what could have been a very stressful experience feel calm and reassuring, even being mindful about the scars that would be left on my leg tattoo. I truly felt I was in very capable hands. It’s now three days since surgery and my pain has been minimal. I know recovery will take time, but thanks to the incredible team at Access Orthopaedics I’m already on the road back to my active life. All of the staff were friendly and supportive, and a special thank you to Stephanie Ford for answering my many questions with such kindness and knowledge. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone at this clinic and would highly recommend them. The care and advocacy I received made a huge difference in getting me back on track so quickly.” Read more Show less
