À propos de Paul

###Paul Jerome Co MACP (Student Counsellor) Supervised by Lacey Poltorasky MA, RCC #17824, CCC #10003956, and Hung Sing (Sam) Lam MSSc, RCC #20085. Richmond (in-person), and Online across AB, BC, SK, MB, NL, NU, YT) Hi I'm Paul Jerome, Starting therapy can feel like a big step—especially if you’ve been telling yourself that your struggles aren’t “serious enough,” or that asking for help means something is wrong with you. For many people, especially those navigating cultural expectations where mental health is stigmatized, reaching out can feel unfamiliar or even shameful. I aim to change that. I offer a warm, culturally sensitive space where your experiences are met with understanding—not judgment. Using a blend of Person-Centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-informed strategies, and Trauma-Informed approaches, I tailor our work to fit your story, your pace, and what feels right for you. Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, grief, or a major life transition, my goal is to help you gain clarity, build practical coping skills, and reconnect with a genuine sense of possibility moving forward. My path into counselling was shaped by witnessing how often mental health struggles go unaddressed—particularly for men and within cultures where challenges are expected to be handled quietly and independently. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, combining clinical training with a strong personal commitment to creating a space where clients feel safe, heard, and supported. Before moving to Canada, I was an avid scuba diver. Therapy reminds me a lot of diving—the deeper you go, the quieter everything becomes, but the pressure also builds. Beneath the noise of everyday life, there’s a stillness worth finding. And as we explore that depth together, having the right support can make all the difference.
