À propos de Kathleen
Kathleen graduated from the University of Alberta in 2013 and after working extensively with individuals with chronic health conditions and diabetes. She has been working through a weight-inclusive lens since 2017 and at this time she became a Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor and received training on working with individuals with eating disorders. Kathleen works utilizing a weight-inclusive, trauma-informed and social justice oriented approach to care.
Kathleen’s philosophy centers on a collaborative model where clients are viewed as the foremost experts of their own experiences. She believes in fostering a partnership where clients are active participants in their own journey towards nourishment and improving their relationship with food. Working together with clients, she supports them to have food take up less of their mental energy so they can focus on what matters most to them.
Areas of Interest: Intuitive eating, Disordered eating, Eating disorder recovery, Diabetes management coupled with disordered eating or eating disorder, Body image support, Mental health and neurodivergent affirming care.
