“I had been a regular monthly client at Remedy Wellness Centre since 2023 and had several future appointments booked with them. Until today, I had never been late or missed an appointment. I arrived early for my scheduled 90-minute massage appointment, only to discover at the door that the clinic had moved to a new address. I had not received clear or direct notice that the clinic had relocated. I immediately called the office and tried to determine whether I could still make it to the new location, but based on transit timing, I would have arrived approximately 35 minutes into my appointment. I asked whether the appointment could be extended so I could still receive the 90-minute service I had booked, but I was told that could not be accommodated. I was also not told during that call that I could attend a shorter appointment and be billed only for the shorter time. I later saw that a no-show charge had been added to my account. When I disputed the charge, the response I received was dismissive and accusatory, including a claim that I had been abusive or aggressive toward the receptionist, which I do not accept. I was upset and frustrated, but I did not use abusive language or threaten anyone. This experience was extremely disappointing, especially as a long-term client. I have since cancelled all of my upcoming appointments and will be moving my care elsewhere. Update: I will not be engaging in further back-and-forth with this clinic. My concern remains that a legitimate customer frustration and billing dispute was repeatedly characterized as “rude” or “abusive,” which I do not accept. I did not use abusive language, threaten anyone, or abuse staff. I had been a regular client since 2023, with no history of missed appointments, lateness, or inappropriate conduct. Even the clinic’s own response acknowledged that I had no history of bad behaviour. That is why I do not accept one moment of legitimate frustration being reframed as abusive behaviour. I also do not accept the way this has been framed as a “boundary” issue. I fully support respectful treatment of staff, but that should not be used to dismiss a reasonable billing concern or mischaracterize a customer’s frustration. This is a paid massage therapy service, not oxygen. No clinic is doing a client a favour by providing a service the client pays for, and clients are entitled to decide whether they are comfortable continuing care based on how concerns are handled. I stand by my review and have moved my care elsewhere.”

“I have been struggling with shoulder pain from several falls over the last 6-7 years. The treatment I receive at RW is so helpful, After being told by a Dr at Rebalance that I might need major should surgery it was a relief to have Alice tell me this week that my pain is coming from muscles not rotator cuff. Her therapeutic massage has restored so much range in my shoulder, I can hardly believe it.
