“I’ve been suffering from serious lower back pain for many years. After finally being referred through several specialists, I ended up at this chiropractic clinic, hoping for some relief. I attended multiple sessions, and they seemed to care at first. During my last visit, the chiropractor was actually preparing to refer me to a pain specialist for an injection to help manage my pain. Unfortunately, due to a sudden family emergency and some personal issues, I missed a couple of appointments. I explained everything honestly. Despite that, they still charged my credit card for the missed sessions — which I understand is policy — but then they completely refused to see me again. They never offered any reminder calls or texts before appointments, which could have easily prevented this. Now, because they won’t continue my treatment, I have to start all over again: going back to my family doctor (who is already overwhelmed with appointments), waiting for new referrals, and I have no idea how long it will take. Meanwhile, my lower back pain is getting worse and affecting every part of my life. This is especially heartbreaking for me because I’m in the process of joining law enforcement to serve and protect this country — and I desperately need to be healthy and strong. I thought I might have deserved a second chance and some compassion, considering everything. Sadly, I did not feel that understanding here. I hope they reconsider how they handle situations like mine for future patients who are genuinely struggling.”
