“Happy Kiddos Massage & Thrive Chiropractic have been so incredible for our family. Both of our boys started seeing Maggie as infants and she has helped them through many things including torticollis, constipation, going through the crawling and walking stages, and always ensures they are comfortable. I love that parents are in the room with her and she always updates us on what she is noticing and provides hands-on tips and ways to work on certain developmental skills. “Baby massage… I was skeptical at first. I was nervous what if my precious baby gets worse. Maggie came highly recommended so I thought I will go and check it out, see what it’s all about! Going to meet Maggie at Happy Kiddos massage changed our lives. My daughter Lena was struggling medically and I was at the end of my rope. Lena was born early, had hypotonia, issues with feeding (feeding tubes), constipation, severe gastro esophageal reflux, unexplained pain especially in her back and hips, hydronephrosis in both kidneys, and almost never slept. The beginning of her life was hard, it was stressful and meeting Maggie made a world of difference not just for my little lady but the whole family. Maggie always made time to see Lena. She really listened to me and my concerns. I have always felt heard. While Lena was out of hospital she saw her almost every week. She always asked me how she was doing before she checked her to identify areas to work on. She always went above and beyond. Maggies work is nothing short of a miracle to me. Lena was always calm and content during her time with Maggie and when we left there she napped. Sometimes I would cry during the appointment to see her so calm and content and the sense of relief I felt when leaving was magical. I started to notice little things at first, like Lena always napped after massage and slept much better at night, but then Lena started having regular bowel movements, she ate better, she was more comfortable when being repositioned. It quickly became clear that Lena needed massage, she needed Maggie. Maggie always made room for her, she always took the time to help, she even taught me to do massage that would help Lena while we were away so that Lena could get the relief she needed, that we needed. Two years later and my girl walks, talks, and eats and I attribute a lot of that to Maggie and her dedication to Lena and her treatment. Two years later and Lena is still seen on a regular basis, she remains a priority, I am heard, she is there for us but not just for Lena for the whole family. Maggie took the time to get to know me and each of my kids individually and while the other two have no medical issues they come for regular massage with her. Maggie takes the time to listen to them, and their feelings, they feel heard and cared for. She always asks them for permission to massage them and gives them total control of what she works on. She is my son’s favourite person and it makes his whole week to go to see Maggie. After they have a massage I notice a difference in their behaviour, moods, and sleep almost immediately. “Does Maggie work miracles? Probably not, but it sure seems like it. We took out 6 mo in because he was very upset on his tummy and always opted out of tummy time. She made him feel very comfortable and was able to massage regardless of how he was positioned so he didn’t get stressed. It is the next day and he has been happily in his tummy for the last 20 minutes playing. This is either magic or she is VERY good at what she does. Will we go back? “Been coming here for a few months now for acupuncture and adjustment with Dr. Katie and I have been relieved of much back and neck pain. I used to have pain on my lower and upper back after a full week of work but that has been reduced significantly now. It is so easy to book appointments and the availability of appointments after 5pm is good. So easy with insurance too.
