“Massage practitioners should not be spending their time on trying to be impressive to the uninitiated, Martin. They should develop the skill of doing a good job. That is more impressive. If the business m9del is to do minimal work, and get the client to talk about themselves, so it is like a nice visit, and then charge $130, for fluff, then you are wasting people's money and time. Maybe they just want you to get the job done. If this, however, is what you practice, then you are not practising mastery of the craft. Mastery comes from learning to assimilate what was learned in the classroom...and going beyond it...way beyond it, to do a thing called helping people...you haven't even mastered the classroom basics. People, you would think, would be much more sophisticated in their expectations of a good massage...but unfortunately...across the board, the bar is held very low, so they don't know what high standards are. Is this your legacy as a massage therapist, Martin; wasting people's time and money, by merely trying to impress them in superficial, and worthless...to them...ways. Do you feel that this sly business model will make you more money? What about building a reputation on value? You come from a lack mentality. I am sorry to say this, but I believe that the only way that society will improve is if we educate the public to a higher standard; a more honest one.”Read moreShow less

“Martin Birchell is great RMT with direct billing for my service provider. I had pain on my lower back and neck area, and Martin worked on areas with tensions and pointed out how to stretch properly. Highly recommended!”

“I am very grateful to have found Sarah and Elle, they both have helped me tremendously on my healing journey. Sarah, RMT in helping with massage therapy and she is excellent, and Elle, RHN with my diagnosis of Celiac and guiding me not only physically but mentally thru this journey as well. Highly recommend this clinic, as your mental and physical well being is of utmost importance to the staff.”Read moreShow less

“I had a very relaxing experience here. My massage with Martin was exactly what I needed. He was incredibly attentive and checked my comfort levels throughout the massage. The background music was relaxing, and the bed comfortable. He gave me recommendations to help care for my arm I injured several months ago. He was kind and very professional. The interior design of this place is not only beautiful and modern, but comfortable and inviting. It’s exactly what Parksville needs, a modern facility that provides support for wellness. Highly recommended! I’ve already booked future appointments.”Read moreShow less
