“I brought my 2 years old here Christmas Day, waited patiently, and did the responsible thing by giving our child Advil so she wouldn’t be screaming in pain in a packed waiting room. Apparently that was a mistake — because while we sat there for five hours, two families with kids who arrived after us were seen within 40 minutes. So let me get this straight: if your child is quiet because you’ve already managed their pain, you get punished? But if they’re crying loudly, they get bumped to the front? This isn’t triage — it’s chaos disguised as healthcare. Parents are forced to choose between comforting their child or being taken seriously. Being calm, prepared, and respectful shouldn’t drop you to the bottom of the list. Christmas Day, no less. We left without seeing a doctor, wasted hours we’ll never get back, and learned a brutal lesson: the system rewards noise, not need.”Read moreShow less

“I love Stevenson. I’ve NEVER had a bad experience. The nurses and doctors there are wonderful they listen to what I have to say and have great bedside manner. I have to shout out Julie a nurse there, she’s absolutely wonderful so kind and so professional. Side note. Just Denver doctors and nurses can become very overwhelmed with everything they have to deal with you never know what was thrown at them that day or what they might have gone through. If you can show them some kindness and compassion they will show you it back. Thank you Stevenson staff for always being kind and helpful.”Read moreShow less

“Sat there for hours my granddaughter was in extreme pain has servere migraines that don’t allow her to speak numbness and other symptoms. Took 6 people in that arrived after us left her in major pain. This hospital has gone down hill to the extreme. Used to be good. I’m disgusted. Seems no health care any more”Read moreShow less

“I took my 2 year old into emergency Thursday night for quite the swelling in his face, neck, jaw & cheek. I waited approx 5 hrs to be told “give tylenol and advil”. As if I wasn’t already doing that, doctor says “it seems like a tooth abscess or abscess in the mouth. Would not start him on antibiotics right away, told us to take him to a dentist if he got a fever.. We decided anyway despite what the “doctor” said to take him to the dentist Friday morning (yesterday) got him in there an through a exam the dentist was clueless on why the doctor would say this. So he sent us for X-rays at a dental emergency room. X-rays showed it had absolutely nothing to do with his teeth, they suggested we go to Newmarket hospital because the swelling if infection could’ve went into his bloodstream and caused many more problems. Thankfully newmarkets doctors are very thorough and ordered an ultrasound just by the look of him, which this doctor was also in shock that the doctor we seen at Stevenson, (alliston) didn’t check that or order anything. Or give an antibiotic right away. If you had thoroughly checked my child and did the correct thing, we wouldn’t have had to go through 3 dentists and another hospital trip to figure something out that could’ve been done through our 5 hr visit to you. Will never be returning, I’d rather wait 18 hrs and get proper care than even an hr for that bs. My opinion is don’t go here, go to barrie, Newmarket or even Vaughn. You’ll get real treatment.”Read moreShow less

“It seems like the doctors at Stevenson memorial choose who they want to be nice too and who they don’t!!!! They treated me like complete trash!!!! The doctor that checked me out was a total waste of time cause my vitals seemed ok that was enough to send me home and I was not feeling well at all. I’m on a program prescribed by a doctor and they treated me like I was somebody right off the street like I was a daily drug user!!! Which I am certainly not in there eyes I am though they made me withdrawal like an animal in pain going crazy, and all they did was walk by me about 50 times not even looking at me or even caring. But to every other patient they took there time talking all nice amd making damm sure that they were ok!!!! Honestly I will never go there again and it hurts cause I’m a resident of alliston for many years and they treated me like crap!!!!! First time I ever went there and believe me it will be the last time so just a little word of advice if you have ever had problems with opioids or any other drug DO NOT attend that hospital cause they will treat you like crap believe me on this and this is not the only time it’s happened to someone else but they did t want to leave a comment cause she thought maybe it was a misunderstanding but it seems like it was not!! Anyway sorry to poste this bug people should know any honestly the doctors should treat everyone the same wish I remembered his name but I don’t anyway grow up and do your job right or quit..”Read moreShow less

“I took my husband to the ER this morning and we arrived at 10:30 am. He was discharged at 4:00pm. That is a long time some people might say.....but absolutely not! Within 15 minutes of arriving we were triaged, within 20 minutes bloodwork was done. Approx 45 minutes later we were assigned a bed in the ER where we were promptly looked after by nurses. An ECG was done, and while waiting for Dr. Safa the nurse brought my husband a roast beef sandwich and an orange juice. When Dr Safa attended my husband he was very thorough in his examination and discussion with us. He ordered more tests (chest xray and more blood work) as we waited for those results a nurse brought my husband a heated blanket and he was able to have a snooze. Dr Safa arrived later with the results and did some neurological tests and his diagnosis and follow-up treatment. Every patient that was there was treated with courtesy and respect. We have lived in Alliston for over 40 years and we know our hospital rocks! Sincerely, Harry & Rona Rempel January 18 2023”Read moreShow less
