The booking system needs to be changed. Just called to book an appointment and every date/time is booked until June 22 (it's currently May 15). I asked if we could book an appointment in July, as I'll be away the last week of June. I was told they're not scheduling July yet, and to call back in June! How does this make sense? So for the next two weeks of May, do they only have the ability to book appointments the last FIVE business days in June? Please get an online booking system for a better use of everyone's time, and to save your poor receptionists from having to relay this nonsense. Hope this review will in some small way push QFTH towards a better system.

Why are you not calling I'm my meds I've been on for years and years?.I can't move my body parts without the one and im withdrawal form one that's not even a controlled substance. Great time to experiment with my meds when I already told you what else was going on!

Dr Rebecca Aberra and the rest of the team at the After Hours Clinic are absolutely fantastic! They quickly got my wife and I from outside door to examination room, identified the problem issue, considered different options for medication treatment, and proposed a solid game plan that is already showing signs of healing and less intense pain! This crew, along with Dr Haffey and his team at the Queen's Family Health Centre are top notch! Many thanks Doc Aberra and everyone else involved in keeping this patient moving forward to better health! You folks are awesome!

Resident drs every time, they've lost Important documents that was related to the Ministry. They're unorganized. The only one I like is Dr Stevenson and the receptionists.

Just when you think it cant get worse it does. Ive been going there for years. The hard part for the patient is, no one knows you from a hole in a ground. I also know most Dr's dont read your file. The last time I had a in Dr app you had to check into your own app yourself. lol That would be ok if it worked because I cant understand the thick accent from desk clerk. Anyways once in a blue moon I get a mature Dr and I finally get some verbal advice. In fact I get better service when I go after hours clinic because I see a established Dr. I had 1st year students with second year students surpervising ....really My Dr is Dr Kroker but not really because I think I saw her once. The whole set up is so disorganized and I even had a Dr call me but I wasnt expecting it ,he was going on bad info. Wrong info given to the dr because lack of training and or knowledge seems to be the norm. I had a phone app recently to get results from a MRI. Dr Jones from ENT has been on leave since last summer. Anyways the poor Dr had no clue why I had a phone app. He asked how I was feeling. He asked about my gall bladder. He didnt know I had it out 7 months prior. He was able to give me my results from my MRI. I am looking for a new Dr, this is my life and health and they are not helping me. That place really needs alot of work unfortunately. Maybe its bad management, please someone fix it. Janice Smith

GOD I wish I could rate 0 stars and just tell everyone to AVOID AT ALL COSTS. If you're young and/or disabled and/or a woman, go literally anywhere else. I was prescribed a medication that by a resident who refused to do any tests and that medication has been causing awful side effects. I have been trying for 3 bloody days to get through and get an appointment. Every time I call and press 1-1 to get to their booking line, I get put on hold. One day I called twice and was on hold for 45 and 53 minutes respectively before giving up. Today I don't even get put on hold I get rerouted to the main menu to do it all over again. Tried to go in person today (Wednesday) and the doors are locked. Also, their stupid new email system doesn't work. So not only is it impossible to talk to anybody, the doctors don't even listen to patients. Dr. Braidwood is really one of the only exceptions and he is the only reason this is still my primary clinic.

The only reason I give more than one star is because the nurse Amy deserves 5 stars herself. She is extremely kind, and just awesome overall. I wish everyone at this clinic could follow her example. In every other aspect this clinic is terrible and a textbook example of everything bad you hear about the healthcare system. Extremely patronizing and dismissive experience every time me or someone in my family goes here. I am generally healthy but every time I have gotten a second opinion they tend to disagree with what the doctor here had said (generally that the doctors here don’t take things seriously). Very fragmented and absolutely no continuity of care. If you actually manage to convince them to get lab tests done for anything, make sure that you are proactive and look at the results yourself. Two people in my family, including my grandmother, have had to be the ones to reach out to the clinic when they had tests which came back with something that needed intervention. No one from the clinic had attempted to follow up for these concerning results. On multiple occasions I have had doctors who ask the most ridiculous questions that make it abundantly clear that they did not even BRIEFLY glance at my chart before seeing me. Like others here have said, making appointments is also a terrible and inconvenient experience. Shocking for 2025 when most other clinics have online intake. Even for something small like a blood test requisition (not the blood test, just ASKING for the requisition form), you can expect to wait months for an appointment. The waiting isn’t over once you get your appointment however. What’s funny is that they will make you wait FOREVER in their office, but when the doctor actually sees you they act like they barely have 2 minutes to spare with you. I know the healthcare system is overburdened, and it’s not anyone’s fault in particular, but as someone who also worked in this field I think a bit of bedside manner would go a long way for the average doctor at this clinic. Me and the others in my family just look back and laugh over a lot of terrible stories we have had at this clinic. We got good care here many years ago but the clinic has changed a lot. Thankfully I have a new doctor now who actually believes in providing thorough care for her patients so I feel like I can leave this review now since I have something to compare to. You will be better off going to wait in the ER for 10 hours than trying to get any help from the team here. You might be okay at this clinic if you are REALLY good at advocating for yourself, researching your own symptoms/lab results, etc. To whoever is running this clinic, handling how it’s organized, and doing the training, please do better. Your patients are more than an opportunity to bill OHIP.

The doctors and staff are all great. No complaints there. They are probably as frustrated by my issue as I am... if not more. This review is for whoever they hire to run their phone system. Six years ago I thought it was bad, then it was "fixed" and now it's worse. I waited on hold to book an appointment, then the call dropped. I called back to leave a message but couldn't get through. Tried again, and again couldn't get through. I called switchboard to figure it out and was told that at noon the phones are shut off so you can't even leave a message. I wish I got the lunch break their phone system gets. That "break" should be explained in the automated messages during the menu phase of the call. I wonder how many patients with mental health issues go untreated because the booking process is so stressful. I think email exists. I'm pretty sure scheduling apps exist too. This is a mid-1990s problem. I would love to know the telecom company, so I can review them instead.

I want to take a moment to share my experience with Queens Family Health, as it has truly made a significant difference in my life since I joined in 2017. Throughout my time here, I have never encountered any negative experiences. The doctors have always been outstanding, and the receptionist and nurses have consistently shown genuine kindness. I usually don’t leave reviews, but I feel compelled to express my gratitude for Dr. Stephenson. She is, without a doubt, the best doctor I have ever had. What stands out the most is her unwavering support—she has never dismissed or overlooked any of my concerns. I always feel listened to, and it's clear that she cares deeply about her patients. As I navigate through one of the toughest times in my life, Dr. Stephenson has been a constant source of support. There have been days when she called me multiple times to ensure I received immediate care. Her kindness and empathy shine through in every interaction, and she attentively addresses every concern I share. My partner, who has different healthcare, is so impressed with her care that he often asks if he can switch to have her as his doctor too. To say she is amazing doesn’t quite capture the depth of her incredible dedication. I’ve also found the scheduling process to be smooth and efficient, at least for me. The receptionist has always been attentive, returning my calls and relaying messages to Dr. Stephenson whenever I’m uncertain about needing an appointment. In urgent situations, I’ve been grateful to be seen early. While it’s disheartening to hear about others’ negative experiences, I feel immensely thankful for the support I’ve received from the entire team at Queens Family Health during this challenging time. They have truly been a lifeline for me.
