“I had two pairs of glasses that needed to be fixed. Missy and Andrew have been most helpful! Also I had questions about progressive contact lenses and Dr. Vroom was so patient and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. “Every time I go in there I'm treated like I don't belong; I've bought glasses there before because I wanted to support them as a downtown business and even that experience was awful. In that case, the guy who was helping me chose all the lenses for me (quality, whether they had blue light or not) and didn't bother to ask me or walk me through the options. I realized what had happened and he told me that "nobody takes the blue light filter anymore." I replied that I would have because I had a concussion some time before. The same man, incidentally, was in there when I was checking out sunglasses. I had a $400 paid on that I was interested in and had gone in twice before to go so. I went in that time to buy them and when I tried them on and turned to him he shrugged like, "they don't look that great." I didn't buy them. Bottom line, I'll never go in again. Poor service all around - if you leave a place feeling badly about yourself, that's not a good environment to shop in.”Read moreShow less

“For anyone on PWD, My Husband and I went in today for eye exams and picked out 2 pairs of frames each. Cost $60 total. “I was on vacation when my glasses suddenly broke and I stopped by this store for help. Amaya went above and beyond, not only did he repair my glasses, but he was also incredibly kind and patient throughout the whole process. “The customer service is second to none. I have a pair of vintage Roberto Cavalli sunglasses I can't bear to part with. They have replaced the lenses when other eyecare shops would not, have replaced pins on them, and even recently replaced my nose pads as well. “I came to Optiks International with a pair of broken glasses that I had originally purchased elsewhere. The other place told me they couldn’t be repaired and suggested I just buy a new pair. Costco said - that the glasses are a very high brand and they won't even touch it. Thankfully, I decided to get a second opinion—and I’m so glad I did. The team at Optiks International fixed my glasses within an hour, replacing all the necessary parts with care and precision. The service was friendly, polite, and highly professional from start to finish. They truly went above and beyond, and I’m beyond grateful for their help. “As an International traveller doing a driving trip through the Rockies, I had the best service from the staff at Optiks International in Kamloops. After using an over the counter eye drops for several days and my eye not getting any better, I was able to see a doctor without an appointment very quickly and we were on our way to our next destinations.
