“This facility kicked my mom out and dropped her off at the hospital. They Chemically restrained her for 4 years. They hurt her continually then blamed it on her. Because I questioned and defended her, they accused me of being a nasty person even lying about me. They stole her clothes ruined her walker lost her hearing aids dentures and threw out her favorite blanket I gave her to use. They called the police on her and enjoyed calling code whites. This is where they use harsh medicines and blame the patient as to why it was necessary to give them those chemicals that subdue them. This is a collective and they keep each others back. They even went so far as to erased a google review that referred to them as being more about themselves and not the patients. From what I saw and experienced the life expectancy for your family member is approximately 5 years max, likely less. Run from this Place!!!!!! or Learn your rights as POA/SDM Patients bill of rights Human Rights call the Investigators call on every organization you can to expose this institution Jesse the woman you spoke to is Lisa Gonsalves and apparently her boss does what she tells him ..according to her. “I wrote a review about Newmarket Health and Wellness about a year ago. I wanted to add another review as I have continued to come to this wonderful health facility to assist me with chronic pain issues and new injuries - even though I moved from Newmarket to Keswick. The staff here are so caring and kind and really try hard to accommodate my crazy schedule. In particular, I continue to see Alla Rzaeva for acupuncture. Alla takes the time to understand what is going on with my body and to professionally address my issues with the greatest of care. I can’t say enough about how much Alla has helped me. “From the day that we came to Newmarket Health Center with my Dad everyone has been wonderful. Always. a wave or a smile from everyone there. From the administration, Reception, Doctor, Nurses, Department Heads, PSW's, Cleaning staff and volunteers our experience was top notch. The care, kindness and attention that each and everyone of them gave my Dad and the family is outstanding. We got to know the day and afternoon staff quite well, but for the first time meet the night shift staff and the quality of care is instilled in the actions of all to make sure every resident is involved, comfortable and happy. Everyone hears stories of bad things about long term care facilities and staff but this facility and staff go above and beyond to take care of all residents with dignity. During my Dad's final journey the Staff that work with Davis Dr. area including the Doctor and Shayes were so kind and caring not only for my Dad but also for us.”Read moreShow less

“I was in rehab here from August 14 to November 3/2023 and I was well taken care of. The nurses ,psw's,physio, and the meals were all superb. I couldn't have asked for a better place to recover. The rooms are cleaned every day, laundry done, friendly staff and accommodating. Super nursing staff and a doctor on call. I would recommend Newmarket Health Centre 100 %. “My 94 year old dad has been living here since december 2022 and loves it. The facility is extremely clean and the staff are all wonderful and caring. We had done as much research as possible into long term care homes and this was our first choice. We were lucky that he was accepted there and are very happy with the care he receives. He feels safe and says that he has lots of friends. many of them staff, and he is always kept busy. The activity directors often send pictures of Dad in their organized activities. We feel secure knowing that he eats healthy food on a regular basis as well as takes his medications. He has also been prone to falls which they help him with. The nurses call us with any concerns and keep us updated on his general health. I would strongly recommend Newmarket Health as a long term care home.”Read moreShow less
