“Today I went for a CT scan… the technician was beyond incredible. I’m very nervous about tight spaces… and she made me feel so safe. She was truly the most compassionate person I have ever met in a hospital setting. “I just checked that Lions Gate Hospital has a 3.3 rating (May 2026) and this is sad. I must give a solid 5. Why? The quality of care I received there some 10 days ago was second to none. I must have dealt with more than 20 different people, from surgeons and nurses to X-ray technicians and more. Each and every one of them were competent and all compassionate and took their time to keep me and my family informed. I had been to Lions Gate a decade before, and the improvement is huge. The operating room looks like a Starship, all modern. Installations, squeaky clean. I am grateful to the fine, competent and gracious team that took care of me. Was all perfect?, no. And I didn't expect it to be. Early Sunday morning I asked the nurse how they were doing and with bags under their eyes, told me that 5 nurses had called in sick, and mine would stay for an extra 12-hour shift. And still they managed to give proper care and information in a kind way. I was impressed. Our system is not perfect, but I can see clear improvements and I have to commend Lions Gate Hospital on those. (I'm referring to 2 almost consecutive hospital stays over 2 weeks). “We had to visit this hospital recently due to an accident at work and I have to say the staff were fantastic,everyone we spoke to were polite and professional an took great care of my husband. Ya there was a wait time but my husband thankfully wasnt dying he was bandaged up by the ambulance crew and triaged appropriately. People complaining about having to wait clearly don't realize the ER is busy and full of people who don't need immediate attention and that's gonna slow things down. We hope to never have to come in again but if we do we know we'll be cared for.”Read moreShow less

Nurses Brittan and Adrienne were exceptionally friendly, kind, and attentive throughout my time there. They treated me with genuine compassion and always listened patiently to my concerns, which made a significant difference in my comfort and peace of mind. I would also like to extend my appreciation to Dr. Mahal Hardeep, the cardiologist, for his professionalism and kindness. “I have been here quite a few times most recently for a surgery. It was an excellent experience staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I really appreciated seeing the training going on for both the nurses and anesthesiologist trainees who came to see me first, followed by the RN and resident. They were all fantastic.
