“Absolutely amazing owner and rooms, extremely clean. The owner was extremely kind to us. I genuinely don't know how anyone can fault this place tbh. If I'm ever back I will definitely be staying here again. 10/10”

“Great place to stop for the night. Owner was friendly and helpful, he even showed us where we could charge our car for free. To anyone who left i bad review I would remind you that this is not a fancy hotel, it feels more like stopping in at your relative's for the night. It feels like.being welcomed into someones home. Guest rooms were affordable, clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. Shared washroom and kitchen was clean, towels provided, etc. We have no complaints and would definitely stay here again!!!. Thank you so much for having us!!!!”Read moreShow less

“This man saved my partners life and completly changed the direction of our declining health. He is so caring and has so much knowledge in holistic healing. I cannot wait to return for treatment. I hope he keeps his practice in Amherst and is not driven away like most of the highly educated newcomers from other parts of Canada and abroad. We need more caring people who specialize in holistic healing and genuinely care about the health of our residents.”Read moreShow less

“The sanitation was subpar, and the service was disappointing. I lost my wallet in their shop and returned just a few minutes later to retrieve it, but unfortunately, they denied having seen it. No other customers were in the store then, which raises doubts about their honesty.”Read moreShow less

“The service was terrible; the owner verbally gave false information. The floor in the room is uneven and slanted. If you put a luggage upright it will slide to a wall. With this price ($100) you would be better-off booking a proper hotel for just $30 more. Keep in mind the washroom is shared!”Read moreShow less

“We booked two of their upstairs bedrooms. Upon check-in, we found that the property was very messy. The guest bedrooms were filled with unpleasant odors, a mix of acupuncture medicine and curry. My kids didn't want to stay even for a minute. We had to switch to another hotel and did not receive a refund (although they promised me full refund). To our surprise, they charged us $140 for allegedly breaking a mirror, even though we never entered their bedrooms.”Read moreShow less

“I took my wife to see Mangala Ranasinghe, who is a Holistic Medical Practitioner with many years experience of treating people in a non-chemical, non-western medical way. My wife suffered from depression and anxiety for decades and among other things was placed on two SSRI man-made chemical antidepressants. One is called Venlafaxine, and the other, Bupropion. Her family doctor also placed her on statin drugs to control her cholesterol levels. The sad thing is all three of these man-made drugs cause dementia. At least that is what I learned from a simple Google search, “Does Venlafaxine, and Bupropion cause dementia?” What I learned from the search is that they do indeed cause dementia, as does the statins. Two months ago, my wife was in the hospital for a twisted colon and was given a few days to a couple of weeks to live. She couldn’t take her meds and stayed off them for a little under two months. She told me she was starting to feel again, and didn’t want to go back on them. Unfortunately, she became angry and a little aggressive, so I put her back on the meds. Within a few days, she forgot who I was. I was devastated. Last year, I met Mangala at a seminar and he gave me his business card. I called him less than two weeks ago and we drove to Amherst and sat down and explained in detail the issues with my wife. It is very difficult to come off the SSRIs, or so I’ve been told. My wife has been on two Herbs and she is slowly coming out of the darkness. She knows my name, knows where she lives, most of the time, and has gone back to being a funny and amiable wife. I had a breakdown in 1984 and my psychiatrist put me on heavy antipsychotic medications. They were so strong, I couldn’t go back to University; as a result I worked at menial jobs most of my life. I never thought of exploring Eastern Medicine healing because I was taught that such practices were not of God in some of the churches I attended. I see a good change in my wife’s life in the past few days, she has her moments, but she is holding her own, and seems to get better with each passing day. Mangala is a humble man, very kind and compassionate . I didn’t know anything about Eastern Medicine, but what I know is his treatments are natural herbs. They won’t damage you, they will help you. I am on them now myself and have reduced my psychiatric medication by half. It’s too early to notice any changes yet, but I trust Mangala, and I am hoping to have a positive outcome. Thank you Mangala.”Read moreShow less

“Mangala is a wonderful practioner. My Mom was read to give up pain, edema, stiffness everywhere. She honestly could barely get out of a chair and her pain was at time a 15 out of 10. She has been being treated for 3 weeks -her pain is a 4 out of ten she is going for short walks and she sees a 60 % improvement in this short time. Thank you for helping her it mean so much to us to see her improving”Read moreShow less
