“I saw Mike at this location after a bad forearm break involving major surgery and he was incredible at explaining what the process was, what was happening in my arm, and the whole process went faster than I anticipated. I had almost no use of my hand and fingers after the cast and sling were removed and recovered with almost full range of motion a few months later. I had a custom splint made which was great after the cast came off. It was done quickly and the cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend this place.”

“This was my first time being seen for a hand injury, and Sarah helped me at the clinic. She was thoughtful and took the time to explain everything, especially how to properly wear my splint. I would definitely recommend this clinic (and Sarah) if you unfortunately have an injury and need physio to help with your recovery.”

“I needed a custom splint for thumb arthritis and booked an appointment here. Booking was easy and I was able to see Mike within a few days, which was great. But honestly, the splint I got wasn’t great—it didn’t fit well and it felt kind of cheaply made, even though it cost $300. Later, I found a much better off-the-shelf splint for just $50. And then I was referred to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where they made me the same type of splint for only $45—and it fit way better and looked more professional. If you can wait a bit, I’d recommend asking your doctor for a referral to St. Joe’s instead. The quality is better and the price is way more reasonable.”

“Mike Szekeres is a highly skilled and knowledgeable hand therapist (occupational therapist by training). I recommend that you see a Certified Hand Therapist (not a general occupational therapist or physiotherapist) if you have any issues with your hands, wrist, or upper extremity. They undergo significant specialized training because it is such a complex bodypart. Mike helped me receive the correct diagnosis for two injuries of my wrist, explained the nature of my injury, and provided me with a comfortable splint that allowed my wrist to heal and return to my activities, including the gym. He also explains treatment options and takes the conservative approach before any invasive surgery. He has been supportive during my flare-ups. His knowledge is reflected in his PhD, skill, outcomes, and being a director of the hand therapy program at Western University. I highly recommend his practice and team!”

“Sarah helped enormously with diagnosing an issue with my radial nerve and begin regaining the use of my left thumb. The difference which a few sessions of acupuncture has made is tremendous. Sarah is so very kind and compassionate and truly cares about her clients and their ability to live life again without pain. My husband was able to (gently) hold my left hand last week for the first time in almost a year. And I was able to pry off the lid from a bottle of juice without help. The healing continues! She has made a difficult recovery better. Highly recommended. The clinic is located in the offices of Move Massage and Physio, on the second floor in Burlington Centre.”
