“If only I can give zero star. Our father had Parkinson's and dementia and was under Gibson's care. He went out himself one day without anyone noticing surprisingly. Someone saw him walking alone in the street and reported him to the police and I'm glad that he still remembered his home phone number, and we were able to pick him. No apologies from Gibson at all. Think seriously about it if you're considering this place for your loved one. The building looks decent from the outside, make sure that you are aware of what's going on inside the long term care facility.”

“I’m adding a second review. My father passed away today. The caregivers were wonderful. There were of course glitches but were resolved by the DOC. Doctors there cared and followed up while my dad was in care at the Hospital during his final days. Whenever there is an outbreak of illness they are quick to send a mass email to alert families. Thank you so much for taking care of my dad. Josh, Carolyn, and P Robins”

“Gibson LTC is a fabulous place. My father came there in April and has thrived. They have given him the attention and the assistance he needs everyday. The staff are also excellent at thinking on the fly, and coming up with solutions to problems. The other part I love about Gibson is they listen to family members when they ask for advice. The staff also don’t call all the time and figure out the best solution for the client. I am truly appreciative of all there hard work.”

“OK, 1.5 years passed since my first review, . Staff and management are amazing. The nursing managers on the first floor, Tina and Mohmmad are amazing. All PSWs are following a high standard of care and compassion. Love you all The place is 10 star but the building is old. Good news, the staff are amazing. I really mean it. They are super nice. I give that credit to the lovely staff that give all their love to our loved ones and the management as they managed to keep the moral high and bring such nice group of people together. My rating to the staff and management is 10 out of 5. Because of Covid, seeing the nursing homes for parents before making a selection was not possible. My family solely relied on the Google review comments. That's why I promised to post my review as soon as my mom was settled. She just moved here last week. I had been taking care of my parents in the health care system for the past 20 years, and I am very familiar with different systems. I selected Chartwell mainly based on the brand name and the reviewers' comments. I gave a rating of 4 because the building is not just old; it's super old, and that should be a factor to consider for the comfort.”

“From the very beginning Chartwell Gibson was extremely helpful. Lisa took the time to answer all my questions in a very personable manner. She had arranged everything in a prompt manner as time was of the essence for finding a place for Mom. Lisa, Donna, Reilyn, Karin and Dave were so very friendly and welcoming. The rest of the staff is amazing as well. It is by far the best residence I've been to. Very clean and accommodating! I recommend highly!”

“My Mother has been a resident here for 7 years! They do an awesome job of keeping her comfortable, happy, and well Looked after. After we asked them to dispense her meds, her ailments settled for years. They kept things to time. She could not always take meds at the same time on her own , or she’d forget. They would search for her to get her meds on time. Covid has been difficult but the General Manager has handled it with such grace. She has kept the residents Covid free, safe, now vaccinated! My Mother is almost 93 now,Nd after a great life she is starting to slow down. Gibson residence is so respectful of her wishes snd makes her comfortable, keeps us up to date etc. I definitely recommend this place. My mum has made some good friends here too.”

“Chartwell Gibson has been our partner for student placements and practicum for six years now. We can name Charwell Gibson as "CIMT College's students second home of learning " The team at the facility have been very kind, supportive and always on top of the communications that are held with them. Our students have always had the best of experiences with Chartwell Gibson. Students are treated with much respect and care, while they learn so much from their preceptors and managers at the retirement home. Even during pandemic, they have managed to maintain all the protocols at their facility keeping the safety of students and residents as a priority. General Manager Luciana Capatio, and Food Services Manager, Vida Gavia have always ensured that CIMT College students get the best learning experience at their Retirement Home . We sincerely appreciate and take pride in our partnership with Chartwell Gibson .”

“There has been some fantastic nurses that really looked after my aunt during her time at Gibson, I do want to acknowledge that! Thank you! Your hard work is appreciated. I did have 1 bad experience with the late night staff, but I spoke to management and they were very empathetic and resolved the issue.”
