After dealing with chronic headaches and migraines for years, and then going through my third brain injury after a car accident, I felt like nothing was helping long term. Finding this clinic truly changed my life. Dr. Rachel and Dr. Bria are incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely so unbelievably smart. “Forever Grateful for Dr. Rachel! I was rear ended while parked at a red light two years ago. The first 10 months of recovery got me to a place I felt like I could return to my regular activities including attending conferences, working out, swimming, running etc. However despite getting to a place I felt good enough to do those things, every time I tried I regressed back to post accident state which lasted for months. Each time I would get horrific daily headaches and migraines multiple times a week, I was so dizzy I felt like I was in a constant state of being 'drunk'. My brain would glitch and I would say the wrong words, lose the words I was trying to remember and pronounce words wrong. I would be so exhausted I couldn't stay awake and definitely could read more than a few minutes without passing out. The light and sound sensitivity would be so sharp, my vision would get blurry and I just couldn't stand be out and around other people. In December it got so bad I couldn't even drive for a few weeks. I had no idea why it was happening or how it could be fixed until I met with Dr. Rachel who determined I had instability in my cervical spine near the base of my skull due to permanent ligament damage. She referred to me to a clinic in the US who treats this condition and through that process I was exposed to other specialists who understand this condition and have endless resources available to learn about it. I had a DMX xray that confirmed the extent of the injury and was approved for treatment in the US. I am not yet 'fixed' and I don't yet know how far the treatment in the US can take me to being my old self again but I will always be forever grateful for Dr. Rachel because if it wasn't for her I would have been permanently damaged for life without any idea why I wasn't getting better and what I needed to do to prevent a complete shut down. The accumulative effect of the cervical instability could have also caused longterm neck and brain damage. It is so unfortunate and sad that the majority of medical professionals who treat MVA's don't have knowledge of this. “Dr Rachel is amazing at what she does! I came to Anew 8 months after I suffered a second concussion. I received other treatments previously and was still left suffering from symptoms like dizziness, disorientation, headaches and being easily triggered by any form of visual stimulation. These symptoms have impacted my life tremendously and before Dr Rachel I felt very hopeless that I would ever be able to fully recover. She is very personal and makes you feel like a priority when you’re in her care. She has been able to explain to me what’s happening in my body and why I feel the way I feel.
