“I had a very positive experience at Acutoronto Clinic during my fertility acupuncture sessions. Although I’m not pregnant yet and had to discontinue after two months due to relocating, I truly appreciate the care and support I received. “I wanted to personally share my experience (3 sessions in) with Ellise. It was my very first time and to be honest I came in with mixed emotions and I didnt know what to expect. I am soon turning 39 and my husband and I are going through infertility. We currently have a fertility doctor who has given us a time frame for cycled monitoring IUI and believe me anyone who has an anxious heart and mind like myseld would understand. In hopes of natural medicine, I've done my research and landed upon Acutoronto. Despite researching and searching areas within Scarborough and Markham area, Acutoronto continued to pop up so I took a leap of faith and decided to try acupuncture with Ellise who worked on Saturdays that was good for my scheduling. My first session with Ellise: We talked about myself and the goals that we wanted to work on especially when a part of me was quietly grieving over our first miscarriage and my father's death. Ellise went straight into details of what we were going to focus on with TCM (Tradition Chinese Medicine)by opening the blood flow within certain areas of the body. Within that first session, I felt completely safe and nurtured during the first treatment. The atmosphere around Ellise felt so calm and relaxed. When the session was over, I fel5 my body decompressing with anxiety and my body some how felt that it was in ease. Upon checking my cycle monitoring I was told that my uterus lining began to thicken. For me I was over the moon to hear the great news. From that information I knew I wanted to continue with my sessions with Ellise. Another I tried with Acutoronto with Jennifer Hua (Mercier Therapy - Abdominal Massage) and let me tell you. My insides never felt any better along with the emotional side of it. After my first experience with Jennifer I can not express how much our bodies need to be loved fully. We are often faced with hardships (physically and mentally) and Jen opened my eyes and reminded me that my body is important too. “A few weeks ago, I had my first massage with Jennifer, and it was one of the best things l've ever done for myself. Although I went to see her for my neck and shoulders, the way she holistically worked on different parts of my body and used a combination of different massage types, including lymphatic drainage massage, worked perfectly. In the end, I was smiling calmly - and it wasn't just my face, but my whole body was relaxed and smiling. “I have been going to Ellice for acupuncture for about two months now. I have been to three other acupuncturists for IVF over the last 4 years now. Ellice stands out with her knowledge of infertility conditions (such as endometritis, endometriosis) and her genuine care for her patients. She is also accommodating, making herself available for acupuncture with patients before and after their FET which is not what my previous acupuncturists were all willing to do. The clinic is clean and well run with a friendly and knowledgeable receptionist.
